Loin d'eux. Vois se pencher les défuntes années,
Sur les balcons du ciel, en robes surannées;
Surgir du fond des eaux le regret souriant;

Or poserai per sempre,
Stanco mio cor. Peri l'inganno estremo,
Ch'eterno io mi credei. Perì. Ben sento,
Assai
Palpitasti. Non val cosa nessuna
I moti tuoi, nè di sospiri è degna
La terra. Amaro e noia
T'acqueta omai. Dispera
L'ultima volta. Al gener nostro il fato
Non donò che il morire. Omai disprezza
Te, la natura, il brutto
Poter che, ascoso, a comun danno impera,
E l'infinita vanità del tutto.

You wouldn't believe it! But it is true all the same. Shame!
In higher appeal, that served Friday 27 April at the Turin court, the 30-year sentence for Annamaria Franzoni, has been halved, because of attenuating circumstances.
The Court judged that Annamaria is completely sane, not raving mad, but that she had had, as they defined it, a slight 'défaillance', the night before the killing, and that therefore, the morning afterwards, she proceeded to bash in the head of her youngest son, with at least 16 heavy blows.
No motive, no weapon found, sound alibi - all the same: she must have done it!
The judges deliberated for ten hours. This was a mixed jury: popular judges and those from the procura.
The new defending lawyer, avvocato Savo, who seems to have more common sense than the former one, Taormina, neatly pointed out that the case is not to prove the innocence of Annamaria Franzoni, but that the court has to prove that she is guilty. In five years they haven't found any proof or arguments to do so.
Annamaria: 'Every new accusation hits me like a stabbing knife!'
About the same day the great crook Berlusconi was declared to be innocent of all accusations!
How long Italy can keep this comedy going?
Shame! |
